Post-Surgery Lymphatic Drainage

Lymphatic Drainage has become more recognised in recent years due to its recommendation by medical teams post surgery. The best way to heal is not by rushing, but with stillness and understanding that your body has been through a traumatic process and is trying to recover.

You can speed up the process with Lymphatic Drainage.

  • Help the flow of lymphatic fluid: The white fluid in our body removes waste product from cells. Having invasive surgery will disrupt our system's efficient function, so this massage when done properly will help the body return to its natural rhythm.

  • Helps preparation for surgery: Lymphatic Drainage boosts your immune system (i.e the white blood cells) in the body, thus enabling its preparation for the event of your surgery.

  • Speeds up healing process: By giving your body the tools it needs to heal, it will respond. Two to three sessions a week can help your body recover quicker than it would usually as we are supporting its circulatory mechanism and allowing your parasympathetic nervous system to become more active and present.

  • For Best Results Include Dermalux Flux MD to accelerate tissue healing and reduce post-surgical pain by stimulating cellular activity and blood flow.

Yas has worked with many clients who have had surgery for cosmetic or health purposes including: Liposuction, Tummy Tuck (including Baby 360), Abdominal repair, Brazilian Butt Lift and Breast Lift.

See treatments for more information on each approach - Yas blends together Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage with the Original Vodder method, Lymphatic Reflexology and can integrate Maderowood Therapy for the contouring stages.

Massage for Lymphedema

Lymphedema is a long term chronic condition where localised swelling occurs in the body. The body reacts by swelling as a means of protecting itself from infection, but thus causing fluid retention in the tissues. It can happen for many reasons including previous diagnoses of cancer or an infection. Secondary Lymphedema is more common and there are approaches to help control the effects such as Lymphatic Drainage massage.

A Safe and Effective Approach: Lymphedema is a common condition that builds up over time and is sensitive to treat. Each consultation allows Yas to understand how the client is affected and ensure that the green light has been given by a GP in more serious cases. It is great to consider Lymphatic Drainage massage as a decongestive method to mitigate further risk of complications in the future and improve quality of life.

We believe in a holistic approach to wellness.

Having regular lymphatic drainage can help your body return to its regular function as the massage imitates the body's own natural rhythm and flow of the circulation. It can be a frustrating process, but the results show for themselves when the body receives the trust it requires! Sometimes the health system doesn't work for us, which is why we turn towards natural approaches to care with compassion.
